Who has to follow the alt initiation rules?
Everyone. Officers have to do this, friends of officers have to do this, and you have to do this. Everybody has to do this.
What kinds of characters (and how many of them) can we bring into the group?
How do I bring an alt into the group?
What if my 'alt' is just one of my current characters with a different powerset or build?
No problem! Tell an officer that you want to bring one of these 'clone' characters into the group and, instead of posting a new biography, you'll just update your existing character's biography with info about the alt(s). Adding this info to your character's bio helps us keep track of active characters when he have to review the census.
However, if you have one character with five variations on their powers, that counts as five of your six character slots in the supergroup - not as one. Be mindful of this fact.
The number of characters allowed within the supergroup, as defined by CO's code, is presently 250. Should we begin to near that number, the maximum number of alts may once again be reviewed.
Everyone. Officers have to do this, friends of officers have to do this, and you have to do this. Everybody has to do this.
What kinds of characters (and how many of them) can we bring into the group?
- Players can have a max of six characters total; these characters can be a mix of students, teachers, staff, or 'other' (approved) alts.
- If a character falls into the 'other' category, that means they're not directly affiliated with the school like a student or staff member might be. Examples of 'other' alts would be relatives and guest speakers.
How do I bring an alt into the group?
- Give one of the officers a brief synopsis of your character.
- Tell the officer how many characters you already have in the group (just to make sure you're not going over the cap)
- If the character meets the group's tone and standards, you will be given permission to post a biography (NOT an application) on the Biographies sub-board.
- Once you've posted a full biography, the officers will again review your alt and decide whether or not they're approved. This step is to make sure that the three-sentence description you gave us before still sounds good once it's more fleshed out.
- After you get final approval, work with your fellow group members and officers to make an RP scenario that will introduce them to the school!
- Think carefully about your character's story and the level of participation they might have with the academy.
- If their relationship to the academy makes sense, these characters could have limited IC privileges such as access to the comm channel.
- Characters without the proper affiliation can't do certain obvious things, like live in the dormitories.
